Notes :Many vendors sell all sorts of souvenirs at the Pyramids, especially at the Western Plateau. What is being sold as papyrus at extremely cheap prices are nothing but painted banana leaves. Egypt Shore Excursions : EL Alamin from Alexandria Port with Golden Egypt tours
history and geography conspire to allow the town to live up to its name. It was there in November 1942 when the Allied forces under the command of British General Montgomery put a halt to the advance of Nazi Afrika Corps who considered El Alamein the key to the control of the African continent. The Allied victory in the battle of El Alamein marked the beginning of the end for the Axis Powers in North Africa, crushing the mystique surrounding the “Desert Fox,” German Field Marshal Rommel. The Battle of El Alamein was one of the most violent as well as most important confrontations during the Second World War.
Travel along the Egyptian coastline stretching along the shores of the Mediterranean to El Alamein. Explore the Military Museum containing displays of weapons, military garb and tanks. Descriptions of the battle strategies of Montgomery, Rommel and the others participating in the battle are also on display. Continue with a visit to the burial site. A short drive west of town, perched on a small peninsula overlooking the sea, the citadel-like Cemeteries is the final resting place for Commonwealth, Greek, Italian and German soldiers. The neat rows of tombstones provide a poignant scene set against the seemingly interminable desert. Within a shaded alcove, the inscribed plaque explains the significance of the battle as well as the diverse origins of the victims interred here. After your visit, reboard the Minivan for the approximate 1.25-hour drive to Alex , then visit to a Papyrus Institute where the procedure of manufacturing the oldest paper in the world, an art discovered by the Ancient Egyptians, will be demonstrated for you.
Note: Comfortable walking shoes, hat and sunscreen are recommended. Short pants and tank tops are not acceptable. Due to the nature of this tour, it is not recommended for guests with walkers or wheelchairs. The drive to/from Alexandria is approximately 1 hour each way, dependent upon traffic and local conditions. There is a camera fee for the military museum of 5 Egyptian pounds (approximately US .00) and 30 Egyptian pounds for video.

Question by M: What can you say about the Blackberry Tour from Verizon Wireless?
I am planning on getting the Blackberry Tour on October 7th; that’s when I can renew my phone. And I wanted to know what you think about the phone if you have it. Has it given you any major problems? Is it worth the buy? I’m turning 16 soon and Blackberrys aren’t only for business people anymore so is it a sort of fun phone to have? Is the camera good and how about the video?

i just got it yesterday and it’s awesome. it so awesome that everyone in my family got one. the apps are great. great internet speed. 3.2 megapixel camer(aka- awesomness). Its just an overall great phone. i give it a 10 out of 10. u should get it!

Egypt Shore Excursions :Pyramids & Museum From Alexandria Port with Golden Egypt Tours
Board your Vehicle for the approximate 2.5-hour drive to Africa’s largest city, Cairo. Upon arrival, visit the Giza Plateau, where the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, The Pyramids of Giza still stand. A stop at the Western Plateau affords photo opportunities of the famous three pyramids and the sprawling city of Cairo in the background. Continue to the base of Chephren’s Pyramid for some free time to explore the ancient site on your own. Reboard the Vehicle for the drive down the valley to marvel at the mighty Sphinx with its mysterious expression as it stands guard over the vast pyramid complex. Afterwards, drive to Tahrir (Liberty Square), the heart of downtown Cairo to discover the National Archeological Museum. The museum is the repository of the world’s largest and richest collection of Egyptian Antiquities including the priceless artifacts of the boy King Tut Ankh Amun. The final stop on your comprehensive tour will be at the Papyrus Institute to see demonstrations on how the ancient Egyptians made paper from reeds from the Nile. Spend some free time for souvenir shopping in the adjacent gift shop before the return drive to Alexandria.
Note: At the museum there are 30 to 40 marble stairs leading from the ground floor upstairs where the Tutankhamun collection is housed. At the pyramids and Sphinx ground is uneven, cobblestone and sandy. Comfortable walking shoes, hat and sunscreen are recommended.Short pants and tank tops are not acceptable. No cameras or videos allowed inside the archaeological museum. Cameras and videos are free at the pyramids. The drive to/from Cairo is approximately 2.5 hours each way, dependent upon traffic and local conditions.Tour order may vary between groups but all mentioned sites will be covered.
